INP is committed to building and spreading innovative tools for addressing conflict to students, scholars, and practitioners across sectors. Our educational initiatives are local and global, equipping both current and rising leaders with insights and tools for conflict resolution. Educational activities include:
Educational Initiatives at Harvard:
INP works to build educational capacity at Harvard on theories and methods of conflict resolution, providing future leaders with the tools to resolve conflict peaceably through courses, workshops, student groups, and summer internship opportunities.
Global Educational Initiatives:
INP collaborates with governments and organizations around the world to tailor curriculum to specific partners, conflicts, situations, and needs to bring the tools for sustainable peace to global leaders. We create cutting edge curricula on conflict resolution based upon the Institute’s robust research on the emotional and identity-based dimensions of negotiation. Collaborations seek to further the impact of the negotiation field and have included:
- Primary and secondary educators;
- Faculty at other universities;
- Global leadership at the World Economic Forum, high-level government officials, and negotiators in some of the world’s toughest conflicts.
