Varsha Varman is a senior at Harvard College from Bhopal, India studying Economics and Psychology. She is passionate about negotiation and conflict resolution, and hopes to go to law school in the future to pursue human rights law. Varsha is also a professional athlete in the sport of shooting, and holds the junior world record in double trap shooting. She is currently training to make the Indian team for the 2020 Olympics.
Growing up in conflict-ridden areas, Varsha has had first-hand exposure to the devastation that conflict brings to communities, and hopes to utilize her education to combat the roots of the issue. She has spent her summers working at several legal aid clinics of the Harvard Law School, as well as with legal non-profit organizations such as Lawyers Without Borders, with the aim of facilitating the processes involved in making free legal aid accessible to the underserved populations.
